Visiting the Historic Centre of Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Siena is the embodiment of a medieval city. We ascended the Tower of Mangia Tower to overlook Piazza del Campo and the surrounding city. It is attached to an old hospital called Santa Maria della Scala. Florence is my favorite city in Italy! The Historic Centre of Florence is a symbol of the Renaissance and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I love how views of ancient art is a close walk from the main square, Piazza della Signoria. Karen and I visited climbed up the Campanile di Giotto at the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore for a view of the city. We also visited Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. Loving every moment in Venice with Karen! Venice is a city is built on 118 small islands and seemingly floats on the waters of its lagoon. Venice and its Lagoon comprise a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
