Luzern: Lucerne is my favorite city in Switzerland. Here are places I enjoyed seeing: Lion of Lucerne The Nine Towers, also know as Museggmauer Kapellbrücke, a wooden foot bridge Lovely views of the Reuss River from La Terrazza (and delicious cappuccinos!) Shopping around Altstadt (Old Town)
Crossing the Aare River in Interlaken, Switzerland It’s rare that I have a holiday alone…but this particular Christmas, I decided to spend nine hours rotating between the pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and women’s lounge at Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel and Spa. It was one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays I’ve ever had!
In front of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland Many who visit Geneva tram over to Carouge to wander through artsy shops and experience bohemian charm. Apparently, it’s also where the Swiss go to party. I will never forget the delicious cassis macaroons from Martel!
In Zurich, you can experience a modern European city and wander among high end shops—or you can visit the charming stores lining cobblestone streets in Old Town (Altstadt). In Altstadt, I happened upon a cafe that I found to be positively delightful; perhaps the decor and display were slightly better than my actual taste of my cappuccino and fruit tart, but I enjoyed the ambiance nonetheless.
